Recently reported by PokerNewsDaily.com, Luke “__FullFlush1__” Schwartz may be the second opponent for Tom “durrrr” Dwan in the live version of the Million Dollar Challenge, which will occur during the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe festivities in London next month. Sammy George is Dwan’s first adversary.
Matchroom Sport is organizing the London spectacle and its promoter, Eddie Hearn, told Poker News Daily, “Everyone is crying out for a match between Dwan and Luke ‘Full Flush’ Schwartz. Tom would love to play him for sure. I think the challenge may come a little early for Luke, but I know he is trying to get his bankroll together to make it happen.”
Schwartz, a nosebleed cash game player, has a limited number of in the money finishes in major tournaments around the world. In 2005, he was the runner-up to James Hull at the Harbor Lights Poker Festival Main Event, banking £10,850. Schwartz has also competed in the Poker Million and appears in the August edition of Bluff Magazine in an article entitled “Poker’s Newest Villain.”
The feud between Schwartz and Dwan has been heating up as of late. In an exchange from an online poker site’s chat posted on PocketFives.com in June, Schwartz told the youngster, “you got the voice of a girl the stance of a F@g and look like the young boy from the chronicals of narnia.” Durrrr quickly retorted, “trying to call me gay by referencing the fact that u watched chronicles of narnia isnt too efficient.”
Whether Schwartz will be able to cover the bankroll needed to square off against Dwan in the $500,000 buy-in, 500 hand heads-up match remains to be seen. Stay tuned to DurrrrChallenge.com for the latest.
