Analysis

Durrrr had double jungleman12’s stack and both were ridiculously deep. Pre-flop saw durrrr raise, jungleman12 3bet, and durrrr make a large 4bet. jungleman12 tanked and we have the benefit of knowing that he had suited connectors. Since they were so deep, flatting the 4bet makes a little more sense than usual. We also know that this 4bet was a bluff by durrrr, who had just 9-5 offsuit. On the flop, durrrr spiked top pair, while jungleman12 had an opened-ended straight draw. jungleman12 elected not to donk-bet the flop and check-called the standard c-bet from durrrr. On the turn is where things went crazy, as the five of diamonds hit. This was jungleman12’s gin card, meaning it was the perfect card to make his hand and also give his opponent a strong enough hand to shove. Again, instead of being impatient, jungleman12 checked and durrrr overbet-shoved. jungleman12 snapped called, leaving durrrr left to a four-outer, which he missed thanks to the river deuce.

Analysis

In this hand, we saw durrrr call a 3bet pre-flop on the button with K-3 suited. Unfortunately for him, jungleman12 had K-Q offsuit. The flop came 8-A-2, all diamonds, to give durrrr the nut flush Knowing that his opponent is hyper-aggressive, there was no reason for durrrr to raise jungleman12’s c-bet, so he flatted. The deuce however, paired the board. Nevertheless, given the wide ranges both players have in this heads-up competition, Dwan still had to think his flush was good and once again called behind. The queen on the river finally paired jungleman12, who decided that he didn’t believe that durrrr had a flush or boat and could bluff him off just about anything. Dwan’s call wasn’t automatic, but obviously the right move, as he took down a huge pot against jungleman12’s two pair of deuces and queens.
