If you’re looking for an excuse to take your love of the Tom Dwan Million Dollar Challenge and apply it to the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Bodog has posted a last longer bet just for you. The prop bet is one of several that read, “Which of the following players will last longest in the 2009 WSOP Main Event (Event #57)?” In order for the bet to have action, at least one of the two Durrrr Challenge participants must finish in the money.
Curiously, both players are at –120 at the time of writing; neither is a favorite. The line means that betting $120, for example, will earn a person $100. So who will it be? Who’s your horse? The 2009 WSOP Main Event kicks off on July 3rd from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas with the first of four starting days. The event plays down to its final table on July 15th, when the tournament will be paused for over 100 days. The survivors, dubbed the “November Nine,” will return to Sin City on November 7th. A winner will be crowned three days later and the final table will play out on November 10th on ESPN.
Other last longer options available include:
Tom Dwan (-110) versus Phil Hellmuth (-130)
Annie Duke (-120) versus Howard Lederer (-120)
Annie Duke (+135) versus Daniel Negreanu (-175)
Todd Brunson (-120) versus Doyle Brunson (-120)
Best of luck for both of our Durrrr Challenge members in the world’s top poker tournament.
