Two Hands from Sunday’s Session
It looks like things continue to go from bad to worse in the Durrrr Challenge for Tom “durrrr” Dwan. During the last session, Dan “jungleman12” Cates continued to dominate, so let’s take a look at what happened.

Analysis
Pre-flop, we saw a 3bet from jungleman12, who had suited connectors, and Dwan flatted with lower suited connectors of his own. Both were willing to play 3bet pots with these hands, presumably since both were decently deep-stacked to start things off. The flop hit both players really hard, with Dwan nailing bottom two pair and a backdoor flush draw and Cates hitting top pair and an open-ended straight draw plus a backdoor flush draw. When either one of these guys hits this hard in a 3bet pot, the money goes in. This time around, jungleman12 took some time to 3bet shove on the flop, which was the right move, and, of course, durrrr called. At this point when the money was in, Dwan had a marginal 51% to 49% lead, making this a virtual coin flip. As Cates has shown throughout the challenge, he flips well and hit his straight for the win both times. Must be nice to win two flips in a row for over $120,000!

Analysis
With Big Slick, durrrr made a raise and jungleman12 made a normal-sized 3bet with queens. After that, durrrr 4bet to almost 19% of his starting stack and jungleman12 5bet shoved, which was instantly called. Once again, we saw jungleman12 win a flip twice for a six-figure pot.

Analysis
First, we have to give some kudos, or a drug test, to durrrr for having the stones to make a pre-flop 3bet with 7-2 suited against jungleman12. On the flop, durrrr check-called with a flush draw against Cates, who hit top pair. On the turn, Cates made trip kings, which meant he was all too happy to call durrrr’s check-shove. Against a lesser hand, durrrr’s move here is pretty good, as he reps a decent range of good hands, although going from check-calling the flop in a 3bet pot to check-shoving the turn might polarize his range to super huge hands and garbage draws. Regardless, Cates called and Dwan missed twice to give jungleman12 the entire pot.
