Some of the biggest poker pros in the world have been tearing up the virtual felt this week. Among them, Tom “durrrr” Dwan pilfered the tables for $572,000 on Thursday alone, accumulating more than $1 million throughout the week. Other big winners (in order of highest to lowest) include Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky, Kyle “cottonseed1” Hendon, Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker, the nameless Norwegian “Odd_Oddsen”, Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius, and Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton; all clipping the chips for $130k-$1m+.
Dwan had already been plowing through the nosebleed stakes for a few days when he ran across a $500/$1000 PLO table of the most fortuitous kind. He played several hundred hands here, accumulating stack upon stack of chips. The largest pot of all brought in $110,000 for Dwan on a close 3-way hand that he just couldn’t give up on, despite the fact that he was trailing up until the turn.
“SetoKaiba1” led out with a $2k raise under the gun, first called by “DrugsOrMe”, then Gus Hansen before the action came to durrrr, who dropped a $10,500 three-bet from the big blind position. That incited a fold from SetoKaiba1, but DrugsOrMe and Hansen called to the flop.
The Flop: 9♣–4♦–2♣
Dwan tossed $29,500, just enough to put both players all-in. DrugsOrMe pushed his stack, calling even, while Hansen moved all in with his final $17k.

Hansen: A♦–K♣–J♣–4♠
With a pair of clubs on the board, all players were looking at a flush draw that would have won it for Hansen, but DrugsOrMe had the lead with his pair of 8’s for now. The turn revealed a 7♥, giving Dwan two pair, 7’s and 4’s, and the lead. There were a lot of outs for his opposition, but a 6♦ on the river clinched it for Dwan, proffering a slightly better pair of 7’s over 6’s. Durrrr scooped the pot for $110,000.
Afterwards, durrrr moved on to another $500/$1000 table, this time facing off with “Trueteller” in heads-up Capped NL Holdem. He spent an hour and a half here, accumulating another $170,000 to bring his day’s total to $572,000. All told, Tom Dwan raked in an impressive $1,041,054 on the week, making him the week’s second largest winner behind Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky with $1,366,597.
As for the week’s other big winners, Kyle “connotseed1” Hendon did well for himself, bringing in $628,303. Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker pulled in $239,435. “Odds_Oddsen”, a Norwegian pro who chooses to remain anonymous, cashed in for $217,803, while Patrick “FinddaGrin” Antonius and Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton finished the week with $139,652 and $139,271 respectively.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the week’s biggest losers were Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene, who dropped -$785,586, Phil “Polarizing” Ivey at -$537,308, “Sankler” -$410,576, “Denoking” -$375,905, Full Tilt Pro Gus Hansen -$320,790, “DrugsOrMe” -$254,780, and Alexander “PostFlopAction” Kostritsyn -$169,058.
The additional losses suffered by Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey put their yearly total at -$3,124,456 for Hansen and -$2,092,560 for Ivey, making them the two biggest losers thus far throughout 2013. Despite Alexander Kostritsyn being in the negatives this week, he holds the biggest profit of the year with $3,072,026 under his belt. Viktor “Isildur1” Blom chimes in second, up $2,915,972, followed by Kyle “cottonseed1” Hendon at $2,232,658, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond with $2,169,847 and Tom “durrrr” Dwan coming in 5th highest with $2,108,924.
