Once again, the action at the WSOP has been overshadowed by Black Friday-related announcements. Today, the poker world was rocked by news that Full Tilt Poker has had its license suspended by its regulatory body, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Full Tilt was forced to refuse any further real money play from American members following the April 15 site seizure, and now they will also be unable to offer real money action to European players pending a hearing in July. Many sources are already speculating that this latest move could spell the end for the once wildly successful poker room. While FTP’s biggest competitor – PokerStars – has already refunded more than $100 million to its outgoing American members, Full Tilt has yet to cut a single check or even to give a concrete date on when they will start processing U.S. withdrawals. Durrrr is running hot and cold at the 2011 World Series of Poker. Few pros would complain about the three cash finishes he’s made thus far. Including his final table finish in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, Dwan has currently earned over $225,000 at this year’s WSOP. Compared to the millions in prop bets he’s once again made on winning a 2011 WSOP bracelet, though, those winnings are chump change. If Dwan doesn’t want to suffer the same massive losses he saw last year, then he’s got to forge ahead in his bracelet race. That’s exactly what he did over the weekend. After buying into close to 20 events thus far in the 2011 WSOP, Dwan has finally seen his first final table action. Dwan posted two very solid days of play in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship and returned for another long but ultimately successful Day 3 session. Late last night, the event hit its final table, and the last nine competitors continued on so long that the heads-up play was actually halted due to the new hard-stop rule. The H.O.R.S.E. Championship saw some serious drama on Day 2, but Dwan was not involved. Instead, it was bystander Daniel Negreanu that called out native Las Vegan Michael Binger for angle shooting. Tournament director Robbie Thompson was called to the table, and it was determined that Binger had indeed underbet the limits. Tom Dwan got a good start on the 2011 World Series of Poker. He very nearly made the quarterfinals of the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Heads-Up Championship, and his ninth place finish was still worth $67,436. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there as durrrr failed to cash again in over a dozen consecutive events. Today, things are finally looking up for the infamous durrrr. Already this week Dwan has entered three more events: Event #35: $5000 Pot-Limit Omaha/Six-Handed, Event #36: $2500 No-Limit Hold’em, and Event #37: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship. Tuesday was a crazy day for Dwan, who played in all three by blinding off during simultaneous sessions. As promised, Dwan was sadly absent from the World Series of Poker’s June 16-17 events, including the one in which he earned a runner-up finish last year. By the weekend, though, durrrr was back in the action. Unfortunately, the brief break didn’t do much to improve Dwan’s game. Dwan was one of 3,144 players to enter the popular Event #34: $1000 No-Limit Hold’em, but he was already out only a few hours in. While Dwan’s Twitter page has been sadly absent of activity since before the weekend, today friend and fellow pro Brian Powell revealed that durrrr’s not only in Event #35: $5000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed today, but he’s starting at a table with both Powell and Dani Stern, plus an unnamed European player has already served durrrr some table talk.
