Durrrr Challenge News and Rumors for September 16th

Ever since Tom Dwan’s latest thrashing at the Durrrr Challenge tables, there’s been a buzz about whether or not “Durrrr” can make a run of his own. Also, there have been news headlines and buzz-worthy forum topics in recent days, so we decided to use this break in the action as an opportunity examine the headlines and ask several poker personalities what they think of the match-up between Dwan and Dan “JungleMan12” Cates. Tom Dwan Interviewed at PartyPoker World Open

Playing out all this week from London is the PartyPoker World Open. The annual high-stakes tournament will shell out $200,000 to its winner and among those in attendance is Durrrr Challenge namesake Tom “durrrr” Dwan. PartyPoker caught up with the internet poker sensation and asked a slew of questions about the ongoing Million Dollar Challenge against Dan “JungleMan12” Cates. The first Million Dollar Challenge against Patrik Antonius has seen Dwan build a $2 million lead through 40,000 hands of the 50,000 required for completion. Dwan rather confidently admitted to PartyPoker officials, “I’m a pretty big favorite in the first one. Week-Long Break in JungleMan12 Durrrr Challenge

If you’re like me, every morning you get up and take a quick hop over to Full Tilt Poker to see if any action from the Dan “JungleMan12” Cates against Tom “durrrr” Dwan Million Dollar Challenge has occurred. Leading up to the first session between the two young guns, a considerable amount of hype existed. Now, after a one-week hiatus from the table, one wonders when we’ll see more action from the felts. Clueless as to when the Durrrr Challenge will pick back up is Cates himself, who posted on Twitter on Saturday, “Good session vs PA at 500/1k, dunno when Durrrr Challenge is gonna resume.” Cates last battled Dwan on August 30th and pushed his lead out to nearly $700,000.
